BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Mobile Phone Review

While Blackberries of the past have been aimed fairly and squarely at the business end of the market the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Mobile Phone is aimed more at the mass market, which has increased the customer base for this ever popular brand. The design is a little different, the feel is a little different but there is no mistaking what it is – a quality handset with an array of functionality under the surface.

While we have come to expect the likes of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other similar Windows based services with the BlackBerry range, this one does not disappoint. The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Mobile Phone some how manages to retain all of the business attractions in a fashionable casing.

The handset comes with a pre-installed 2 mega pixel camera which allows both still photography and video footage. Interestingly there is also software pre-installed which allows you to unload your pictures and video to the social networking site Facebook.

While the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Mobile Phone has Wi-Fi, the internet service is perhaps not as good as you might expect. Not quite up to 3G standards, the screen can cause problems with the display for some sites, but all in all it is acceptable if still leaving you wanting a little more.

The manufacturers have built up the handsets gaming content (surely to appeal to the younger market) and when you take into account the easy to use roll navigation system, it fits in quite nicely. Music, messaging services and the standard calendar, alarm, phone book are all available.

It is interesting to see that RIM have taken this opportunity to try and expand the market base for the BlackBerry brand, something which had been so sadly lacking in the past. The have managed to retain the business access, business services and the look and feel of a quality phone, but some how targeted the younger and business ends of the market at the same time.

Strong, light and very easy to use the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Mobile Phone is set to be the next big offering from the BlackBerry range. Makers RIM have proved themselves very adapt at changing with the markets and this handset is no different. Check it out, you will be very surprised.
